The Local Government Unit of Balayan, through the Local School Board (LSB), continues to provide service and assistance to the education sector of the Municipality. On September 12, 2022, Mayor Emmanuel Salvador P. Fronda Jr. met with the 21 teaching and non-teaching personnel from the different schools in Balayan for the distribution of laptops and other office equipment.
For the newly opened Canda Integrated School, a set of desktop computer with printer was provided. The same was received by the Alternative Learning System (ALS) at Balayan West Central School. On the other hand, for the ALS at Balayan East Central School, one (1) smart television was provided to aid the education of the ALS students. Furthermore, sixteen (16) netbooks were given to the teachers from Balayan Senior High School, Jose T. Unson Memorial Elementary School (JTMES) in Brgy. San Piro, and Balayan West Central School. For the non-teaching personnel, the East District Office received one (1) laptop. Also, a printer was provided to the LSB Bookkeeper.
Mayor JR Fronda discussed in brief the future infrastructure projects that are proposed and planned for construction which he believes will benefit the schools and the whole studentry in the municipality. With all the technical support received by the teaching and non-teaching personnel of the different schools in Balayan, he challenged the teachers to continually provide quality education to the students.
“Dapat mabigyan ng tamang pangarap ang mga bata,” Mayor JR added as he reminded them the role of teachers as source of inspiration for students to dream bigger.
